DUSHANBE Managing Director of Iran Khodro Carmaking Company Manouchehr Qaravi said on Tuesday that the company will exports cars to Tajikistan in the near future.

Speaking to IRNA, he said an agreement is slated to be signed between the company with Dushanbe Municipality and Tajik Transportation Ministry for selling 400 Peugeot 405 GLX and 100 minibuses.

He also expressed hope that the company will collaborate with Tajikistan to build a joint automobile production factory.

"Parts manufacturing is also on the agenda with the Tajik officials," he said.

Deputy Tajik Transportation Minister Adolrahim Ashoorov said that the visit by the Iranian delegation is important for building the joint vehicle manufacturing plant. He said that the trip will be an impetus for further cooperation between the two countries.

Qaravi is slated to meet other high-ranking officials during his stay in Tajikistan.
